Elpis Biopharmaceuticals (https://elpisbiopharmaceuticals.com/) is committed to discovering and developing novel biological and immune cell therapeutics leveraging immune cell activation by multipronged specific targeting. Elpis has built a fully human antibody mRNA display technology (mRNADis) and a scaffold protein function redirecting technology (mSCAFold) enabling us to rapidly screen and discover antibodies or proteins targeting challenging tumor specific or associated molecules. We are building a first-rate research team to advance the pipeline and develop innovative medicines serving human health and well-being. Elpis has a leading program of an engineered IL2 fused with anti-PD-(L)1, currently at IND-enabling study and expected to enter clinical trial later this year. Elpis is also developing dual targeting tandem bispecific CAR for hematologic and solid tumor treatment. The first CD19/CD22 bispecific CAR is in investigator sponsored clinical studies.

We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated research associate to join our in vivo pharmacology group. The primary responsibility of the position is to support and execute in vivo experiments to evaluate the anti-tumor activity and safety of novel oncology therapeutics being developed by Elpis Biopharmaceuticals. You will also be responsible for ordering of supplies and animals, and in vitro cell culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to contribute to in vivo evaluation of cancer therapeutics to support clinical development.

Specific responsibilities:

Schedule and execute in vivo studies (tumor model development, anti-tumor efficacy, PK/PD, tolerability, biodistribution) under the guidance of senior team members
Perform necropsies and tissue/blood collection for ex vivo analyses
Analyze scientific results and present data at team meetings, write reports as needed
Maintain detailed experimental records in electronic laboratory notebook

Organizational Relationships:

Daily interaction with fellow animal technicians in animal rooms and on studies
Daily interaction with scientists managing in vivo studies

Education, experience, and certifications

· BS/BA in life science related field preferred. 2+ years of work experience in an in vivo laboratory setting required

· Experience in mouse handling and clinical observation is required

· Proficiency with in vivo techniques including dosing (PO, IP, IV, and SC dose routes), blood collection (submandibular and cardiac), body weight and tumor volume measurements, euthanasia and necropsy

· Knowledge of in vivo data collection software, Microsoft Office, and GraphPad Prism is desirable

· Experience with in vitro assays such as flow cytometry, ELISA and cell culture is a plus

· Weekend and holiday work may be required at times

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members
